About the AARC SanctuaryWhile providing for older domestic animals is the basis behind AARC
sanctuary, a program designed for on-going care of younger animals will
also be implemented. This will enable people to provide for their animals
regardless of the animals' age.
AARC Sanctuary is unique in that it provides a lifetime refuge for
domestic pets. Animals left in the care of AARC Sanctuary will not be available
for adoption. they will be lovingly cared for diring the remainder of their
lives while residing at AARC Sanctuary. They will recive quality care an
comfort while living in a safe, permanent, homelike atmosphere.
In September, 1995, we acquired our first home in Stanislaus County.
We are in the process of remodeling and would like to have all the changes
completed within the next year.
AARC Sanctuary is developing programs for the benefit of the community.
Effective January 1996, these programs will include a Pet Loss Support
Group, Humana Education, and Pet-Assisted Therapy.
AARC Sanctuary is staffed entirely by volunteers- no one receives any monetary compensation. We are supported entirely by memberships, contributions, and bequests. We are not affiliated with any animal rights group or privately owned animal organization.
"As an animal lover, you can help us realize our dream and put a
rainbow in the future of many special animals at risk."
